It took 14 years for Jimmy Page and Robert Plant to reunite and play Led Zeppelin’s music again after the death of their drummer John Bonham in 1980.
With a stripped-down band and orchestral ensemble, they hit the road with their unleaded symphonic world tour entitled No Quarter and performed sold-out concerts to an eager global audience.
THANK YOU, a Tribute to Page and Plant brings together the magic and sophistication of blending rock with classical music as compellingly as the original Page Plant concerts.
Cooke and Simes bear a striking resemblance to Plant and Page, and the visual experience is brought home by Cooke’s uncanny ability to match Plant’s powerful vocals and Simes’s incendiary playing, echoing the flair, punch, and nuance of Page’s guitar parts.
The concert delivers an intimate, powerful acoustic and electric rock and chamber music quality. The show consists of songs from the No Quarter tour, including The Rain Song, Thank You, Since I’ve Been Loving You, Gallows Pole, and, of course, No Quarter, to name a few selections from their set list.
Thank You, a Celebration of Page and Plant honors Led Zeppelin’s 50th Anniversary in 2018.
“A stunning jack of all trades, Simes is simply the best when it comes to making music that’s brilliant and breathtaking all at the same time.” Lee Zimmerman | Goldmine.
“Musician Steve Cooke portrays Led Zeppelins lead singer Robert Plant. Like him he has cascading blonde locks and a voice to match.” Melanie Ray, BBC Radio | England.
